Wherever we take a trip, it's mandatory not to go super local. Thanks to @vincentinparis who recommended this Chiang Mai local restaurant located in a rural area, where we got more than we bargain for but in the best possible way.

This outdoor family restaurant with rustic wooden benches feels rather dark and a little dingy at first but once the lights were turned up and the local people filled in, it all started to make more sense, more than the menu which were pages and pages of sheets in plastic office file and printed only in Thai language.

If you're lucky you'll be about to spot the deep fried Thai frogs legs, the Namprik oon (mince pork and tomato relish), boiled beef with mysterious but amazing dry spice dip (what is that?) along with a jungle fern soups of sorts with fascinating flavours we've never come across. Tom Yum with a booze at the same time? While it certainly does not sound like a good match, this new kid on the block nails it perfectly. Housed in a heritage house along Victoria Street at central Georgetown, Charcoal House gives so much wrong impressions to random passerby. The name is not linked to the interior nor the menu- there is no grills on the menu; step in the place and you will find yourself in a well-spaced bar setting with wood finishing on the ceiling. The interior decor resembles the same tranquility and comfortness, with a sense of sophistication. It is noteworthy that the place adopts non-smoking policy so need not worry on the unpleasant cigarette smoke smell. While Charcoal House has a big drink menu, a Thai Chef is hired to add a little spice to the food menu. The food menu is not big but carries an array of carefully selected Thai dishes at pocket-friendly price tags.

Sebelom i explain mesej video, iklan lok! Restoran TukTuk tok glamer ngan street food Thailand nya! Dish paling pemos sidak, boat noodle! Ha nok ktk org rasa nak makan mee banyak tapi sik gemok, boleh try boat noodle! Ada 4 perisa. Semangkok ya skali ngap jak. Ngektsai bermangkok2 makan aie hahaha.

Tapi nok lain pun serious sik kurang hebat! Tomyam nang pergh! Mancit do rasanya! Fav Ngektsai adalah Pad Thai! Mee goreng, nya kedak mee pok, tapi rasanya lain. Sik pandei i explain. Haha. Kakya must try, sangkaya! Roti stim cecah kuah kaya! Nyaman!!! Lembut roti nyaaa! Banyak gik menu lain ktk org boleh try! Pg la TukTuk kinek! Ada d Kch n Miri! Kch rah Plaza Merdeka & Vivacity, Miri rah Permaisuri Mall! Hihihi lan lekas!

Okay look, Ngektsai mungkin sik berapa tauk gilak giney kejadian nemiak sekolah kinek, obviously my zaman dah lamak berlalu as nemiak sekolah. Awal Ngektsai madah sorry jika apa dpolah lam video mungkin ada yg terlebih/terkurang. Cuma hari ya tbaca dlm fb ada sigek posting yg menyuarakan tentang bagaimanakah generasi nemiak kinek akan ada sense of responsibility nok power bila besar kelak.

Probably tok dari sudut yg nampak jak. Mayb ada kaedah lain digunakan d sekolah atau d rumah utk memupuk rasa tanggungjawab kpd generasi muda, i sik pasti. Tapi dlm hal tok, Ngektsai suka nak teselap kisah lamak marek. Di mana, semua hal sekolah, mak bapak Ngektsai sik berapa tauk, biasalah org lamak marek kot. Yg sidak tauk cuma jika anak sidak berolah, cikgu call, atau masa result peperiksaan keluar. Lain dgn zaman kinek ooo, sik semua la, segelintir... tok pun bdasarkan pengamatan Ngektsai dr kgkawan n family(anak buah) dimpun. Mostly zaman kinek nang semua wasap.

Mun zaman Ngektsai dolok, dak keja rumah, jadual, barg sekolah, semua 100% tanggungjawab dimpun. Apa mak bapak polah time ya cuma ngerepak, keja rumah siap?! Brg skolah?! Bla bla bla... ok fine, zaman berubah, lebih maju kinek, semua ujong jarik. Cuma apa yg Ngektsai harap adalah jgn 100% nupik anak dgn apa yg tlah dipertanggungjawabkan. Bena juak la kata post ya, takut bila besa kelak, rasa tanggungjawab ya kurang. Sik selamanya kita akan brada bsama anak, invest sidak dgn sifat tanggungjawab yg tinggi. I cannot imagine andai kata generasi kinek dah besar, keja kelak, giney ooo.. ntah lah. Sila bincangkan di ruangan komen. (50 markah). Tiber...

Jauh sekali nak carik salah siapa, tapi... something to ponder la benda2 gitok. Anak2 bah, pelaburan masa depan kita... So yalah kesimpulan video, haha. Bagus Cik Kemban jak ke sekolah, Monyeng tinggal rumah. Nok nisik tauk papa ya heh. Pernah Ngektsai nenga cikgu madah lamak marek, awak pg skolah exam fail, bagus awak dudok rumah jak! Aie! Kejam cekgu nganok i lamak marek. Haha. *sik pernah lulus addmath! ?
