Increased mask wearing due to our current Covid situation has left my skin worse for the wear with breakouts....

So I've been reaching out more for the new #BodyShop Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask. This isn't included in PR, but I've long loved to this ingredient for its high level of EGCG antioxidant and polyphenols content with antibacterial benefit to fight acne growth. It's almost a light souffle texture that cleanses my skin
Love treating myself to this twice a week.

#Bodyshopsg has also launched their new Skin Defence Multi-protection Lotion with a 24hr moisturization, which is a godsent for those who work in air-conditioned offices. It remains as lightweight as it's predecessor without white cast, while packing a matrix of UVA/UVB filters and red algae + vit C for a brightening boost. Perfect touch for layering as a primer base before makeup.

However, being in a new life as an environmentalist, I am more critical of the things that go into brands I stand behind. 'Tetramethylbutylphenol (the UV ingredient) has been found to have poor biodegradation potential, which poses harmful effects to marine life - source: Cosmeticsobs' While I love Body Shop and all the social causes they champion, please do better!

It's been a long time coming ...
@lushsingapore has FINALLY replaced SLS base (made from palm oil) in their shampoo bars with Sodium Coco Sulfate, a surfectant made from coconut-oil! I stand firmly against products that uses palm oil, so I'm very thrilled about this.

I particularly like the Coconut Rice Cake shampoo, which uses coconut milk and Soya Lecithin for a duo hydrating boost to my overly colored stressed hair. Extra points for its tropical scent and rich lather! Also pictured here is Flyway Hair (blue bar) for fine hair and Angel Hair for scalp care.

And leading the 'naked' skincare life: Sleepy Head is literally a dream to use. Embued with emollients like almond & jojoba oil to cleanse away grime and makeup, and humectant Oat Milk helps retain moisture into skin. Don't get me started on the relaxing Lavender scent, a perfect aromatherapy to end a day. Such a cute face ❤️

Believe me when I say I cover all grounds. Besides taking good ol' Vitamin C to boost my body's immunity system during these times, I'm doing the same for my skincare game!

The @pixibeauty Vitamin C range has been my go-to for this past months since #Circuitbreaker began. Since Im on sheer makeup now because #masklife, the Juice Cleanser does a great cleanse after a long day. I usually pat on the Vit C Tonic which acts as a toner to double cleanse but also prep my skin for my night routine. This series contains some powerhouse ingredients like Willow Bark, probiotics, Ferulic acid and of course Vit C.

I love the light weight and zesty uplifting scents,which is a spot of happiness during these bleaker period. For the Vit C serum, I dab 3 drops before makeup or mix it in with my liquid foundation for a brightening and hydrating effect, but the winner for me is the Vitamin Caviar Balm. Almost mousse like, it goes onto skin like a silky dream but I was impressed how my face stayed supple even after 1 night in air conditioning.

I'd say if there is one range you should invest, this #pixibeautysg collection has my standing ovation😘
