Spring into action by firing up the grill! Vietnamese grilled pork skewers are perfect with rice, noodles or bread {thịt nướng} And I can’t keep my pork skewers looking like winter. I am using the OXO grilling basting pot and brush to keep the pork skewers nice and juicy. 💦

Hands up if you want to go to the playground!🙋🏻‍♀️ We had some fun at the playground at Ah Ma’s neighbourhood on Thursday before dinner. We didn’t stay for long because a group of older korkor and jiejie cycled over. The boys were playing catch on the playground fixture. They were on the slides and roof, which GGM was afraid the babies would get hurt so she said “回家回家了!” 😂 But Arielle really enjoyed watching the big korkor and jiejie! I am really proud of Arielle, for not throwing tantrums for refusing to leave the playground whenever we said time’s up. One tip would be to set the phone timer and show them we have 15 minutes at the playground today. Timers help teach the concept of time to children. It also gives them an understanding that every activity is limited to a set amount of time. When the timer buzz, it’s time to go home! I really hope it stays this way for a long long time. Till then, I’m gonna enjoy the peace.

The day has finally come! Sheetrock is the catalyst point in the project where you shift from rough work to finish work, and that shift happens fast. We sheetrocked the entire house in less than a week. Tape / Spackle / Sand takes considerably longer (3 weeks-ish), and then we got primer up on the walls. Using Benjamin Moore throughout; I love the quality of their paint, they have incredible color science, and the coverage is fantastic.
Pro Tip: Getting primer on the walls and ceilings before floors saves a lot of time...more in the vlog.
