北歐地帶（主要是冰島），有一種特有文類叫薩迦，它的起始不僅是文學性的，更和天候及地理條件有關
當地的冬季漫長，每天日照極短，甚至可能全是黑夜，為了打發那荒寂的冬季，人們聚集在室內，由耆老講述著一代一代留傳下來的英雄故事與聖徒傳說，時常會搭配樂器演奏
薩迦，常以散文的方式呈現，且富含浪漫色彩
今日同樣是個陰雨綿綿而且日照不長的冬日，聽著這首All My Friends，我想起薩迦，而LCD Soundsystem的主唱James Murphy便是那位耆老，也是這首歌的第一人稱敘事者
All My Friends整首歌詞極長（我等等全部貼在下面），說的是一則很像在新年夜（也就是兩晚之前）發生的故事
一群朋友開了一場派對，酒喝開了，藥用完了，他們盡力想把這場重要的派對辦好辦滿，但隨著派對進行，眾人卻不斷想著「過去的」那些派對——即他們年輕時的聚會
他們假裝還是很嗨，假裝自己（以及對面的朋友）仍是年輕時的狀態，但每個人的生命早已往不同的方向岔開，曾經的化學效應變淡了，也許，那就是中年
這40歲的40首歌系列，轉眼進行到一半，想想，我不也是一個在說故事的人？
今年是我從紐約回台灣後，十多年來第一次自己跨年，就待在家裡，哪也沒去
12:01分，我到天台看了一眼101煙火，發現，那跟過去十多年的煙火也沒有不一樣啊，而很快地，雨就把我趕回室內
那一刻，我覺得自己長大了，不需要再把自己偽裝在熱鬧裡。我在房裡播起這首All My Friends，很大聲的，是我2019年聽的第一首歌
就在煙火熄滅的同時，一個聲音問我：Where are your friends tonight?
我遲疑了，也許我仍是需要熱鬧的，我對自己說：If I could see all my friends tonight

【創作背景】
幾個禮拜前無意間聽到一首超熟悉的鋼琴演奏歌曲。那時正在聽 Now.In 網路電台《音樂
讓你說》這個純粹播歌不說話的頻道，手機突然響起，隨手拿起一看，卻沒有任何人來電
，難道是我幻聽了？再仔細一聽，原來是從電腦的音響喇叭傳來的音樂。真巧！這不是我
現在使用的手機鈴聲嗎！？回到該頻道的網頁看了一下播放曲目的 Title，上頭竟寫著「
炎亞綸 - The Truth That You Leave」。我記得這首歌不是幾年前在無名小站發跡、
pianoboy 所作的超紅歌曲─ 〈The Truth That You Leave〉嗎？怎麼變成炎亞綸的歌了
？一去 KKBOX查詢後，才知道原來是唱片公司將這首歌收錄至炎亞綸今年 3月發行的單曲
《下一個炎亞綸》中。邊聽著網路電台播放出來的這首歌曲旋律，邊想著前奏即將完畢，
炎亞綸要開始唱了，不知道是哪位作詞人為這首歌填上了詞，沒想到歌曲持續演奏著，未
填上歌詞。於是，再度興起了我從前就一直想為這首曲子填上歌詞的念頭，加上剛好當下
有個好朋友的愛情故事給了我靈感，終於將〈The Truth That You Leave〉的歌詞給填好
了。
交往時日很久的戀人們，到了一定的時間，多多少少都會開始覺得另一半不用心了、不浪
漫了、不體貼了。或者是，因為彼此工作忙錄的關係，陪伴的時間也相對地少了。再或者
，彼此都有著雙方都無法忍受的缺點與嗜好。‧‧‧等等之類的種種因素。此時，該如何
打破僵局繼續攜手走向未來？該如何面對外頭身邊週遭的新鮮誘惑？也許面對這樣的問題
很頭痛，但這真是非常值得好好仔細思考的難題。不論最後結果如何，只求能好聚好散。
所以，交往很久的情人們啊‧‧‧別忘了！再忙也要跟另一半喝一杯～（誤）
