Dance Forum Taipei X Zuni Icosahedron, Dream Illusion Bubble Shadow is derived from the last chapter of The Diamond Sutra ("All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, shadows" and uses the negating logic of No to create the aesthetics of Emptiness. "We feel overwhelmed with weight when the Diamond Sutra is mentioned. Yet Dream Illusion Bubble Shadow conveys the feelings of airiness, ease, swiftness, dreaminess, illusion, colour, odour and light, revealing weight in lightness; nothingness in somethingness...", Mathias Woo.

Ellen Joyce Loo live guitar performs the no-sound of guqin. PMPS Yu Yat Yiu synthesized electronic music interacts with body movements. In the five parts of Dream Illusion Bubble Shadow, dancers of Dance Forum Taipei together with artists from Hong Kong and Tokyo, co-create an atypical contemporary multimedia dance work that transforms the ordinary norms of presentation - introduction, elucidation, transition and conclusion.

香港文化中心大劇院「非法」上演

今年九月，進念．二十面體的《如夢幻泡影》，從台灣演到香港。該劇以《金剛經》的「空」和「非」，為創作根基，劇中兩位音樂人于逸堯和盧凱彤，在訪問時大傾佛偈，也談宗教、哲學、藝術，給筆者一個很有思考性的下午。

《如夢幻泡影》創作念頭源自佛經，盧凱彤卻於基督教家庭中成長，于逸堯則是天主教徒，在信仰上好像存有衝突，但盧凱彤指最近五年開始接觸其他宗教，已不稱呼自己為基督徒。「愈來愈不相信甚麼徒、甚麼徒，覺得應該要包容不同宗教，是世界大同，不是世界化（全球化）。」佛教是她基督教以外首個接觸的宗教，現在她會讀《心經》、練氣功，進念曾製作過由《華嚴經》衍生的劇作，她也滿懷興趣的看過兩次。「很有感覺，覺得自己與佛有緣。」于逸堯則在不同宗教，找到相似之處，從教義上到實踐上，都不難理解。「佛教強調生命是一個Loop，帶給我很深的感受，我也較傾向相信這個說法。」

一即是多變化萬千
從at17組團，到個人發展的盧凱彤，這次跟進念第三次合作，反而于逸堯則與這個前劇團，合作無間，包括三次《華嚴經》劇作。「《如夢幻泡影》讓我想起進念第一次的《華嚴經》，一樣艱澀，《華嚴經》甚至有二十分鐘連『一粒音』都沒有，只有呢喃人聲的一幕。」他對劇作最有印象的，是「一即是多，多即是一」的宇宙觀，他也跟師傅學習華嚴字母的唱誦。「字音要在腦中共鳴，直至進入一種狀態，那便是冥想、修練。」他就把師傅其中一個發音，施以音效，無限延長，甚至造成敲擊節奏，創作成一曲二十分鐘的音樂，再配以曼陀羅變化萬千的畫面。「你說艱澀不艱澀？」其實來來去去都得一個音，卻牽連無窮，那不就是「一即是多，多即是一」的音樂演化？第二次《華嚴經》，他組織了一個結合中西的樂團，當中樂器有鋼琴、琵琶、洞簫、敲擊樂，叮叮噹噹現場演奏，儘管概念依舊，但聽起來便比較親切。至於《如夢幻泡影》，他的音樂創作，便在真與假之間斡旋。「許多樂迷都對聆聽有堅持，譬如只聽Analog，不聽Digital，但即使我在你面前拉奏提琴，你聽見的音色，難道便一定是真實嗎？聲音經過空氣振動、通過耳膜，到人類接受神經訊號，才化成聽得見的聲響，這跟聲音經過一條電，有甚麼分別？」

難分真與假
盧凱彤於《如夢幻泡影》現場彈結他，角色吃重，因為于逸堯覺得結他便是縈繞「真」「假」的樂器，「我覺得結他是世界上最成功從Acoustic轉化成Electronic的樂器，但兩者卻仍然並行不悖，而且將永遠存在。」於是彈撥結他弦，便啟動他「如夢幻泡影」的創作理念——電結他經過一連串音效改變，那些聲音成了甚麼？便叫人思考聲音的本源。「另一個層次的問題是，表演者現場彈奏，你能否通過音樂，直達對方的內心？那條連繫通道，又是甚麼？」他續道，《金剛經》的「空」和「非」思辯，不止宗教、哲學，而是存在於萬事萬物。

《如夢幻泡影》為舞蹈劇，他不諱言以往在進念較少碰上，不過，資深劇迷可能記得，上世紀九十年代初，于逸堯便曾與進念合作過一些形體、舞蹈的實驗演出，這次可謂再續緣份。盧凱彤在個人歌唱事業，乃至人山人海的演出，都跟舞蹈無緣，她笑言是貪玩，所以舉手報名參與。「其實我小時候已對舞蹈很有興趣，許多人不知道，我讀中學時有玩過音樂劇，跟High King學跳Hip Hop，也曾為梁詠琪的演出伴舞，近年也看回Pina Bausch的舞蹈。」但自入行後，她專注音樂，學過的舞步，便拋諸腦後。「現在身體很『硬』，跳不到舞了。」

佛學和音樂有何共通點？盧凱彤不假思索：「都讓我了解自己，每寫出一首歌，我才知道，原來我可以這麼樣。」盧凱彤新碟快將推出，加上《如夢幻泡影》，樂迷所看見的，會是熟悉的她那一面嗎？

駱宜蔚(台灣) / 概念法號：不畏

「一直很喜歡工作坊的形式，能和來自各地、不同文化背景的好手工作，相處間總能在他們身上見得『不一樣』，與其說這不一樣來自舞台上的經驗使然，更確切的影響來自他們的生活歷練，透過多方面的觸及，發動自身對舞蹈熱情、熱血，一種提煉更好態度的新陳代謝。學習如何真實的把自己交給自己；如何在如、夢、幻、泡、影字面上，挾著虛幻，偏向抽象，又不畏而為的將自己放入真實，創造舞蹈與生活的連結，是今晚的課題，也是人生的倒影。」—駱宜蔚

臺北市立大學(前台北市立體育學院)舞蹈系畢業。曾參與台北體育學院學生公演，並參加『世紀當代舞團』及第二屆新人新視野黃彥文作品演出。2009年編創〈The Dark Chamber〉榮獲文建會「舞躍大地」年度大獎。2010年加入『舞蹈空間舞團』，演出作品有2010年《月球水》、《長鏡頭》及2011年《10號線》、《風云》、《美麗新世界─窗》、與2012年《世界末日這天，你會愛誰？》，以及舞蹈空間與荷蘭連恩‧瑞巴納舞團(Leine Roebana)合作，參與阿姆斯特丹大提琴雙年音樂節之節目《六月雪》；2013年《NOs》、《時境》等演出。

Yi-Wei Lo (Taiwan)

Yi-Wei received B.A. in Dance from University of Taipei (former Taipei Physical Education College). In 2009, her choreography The Dark Chamber won the annual prize of “2009Dancing Across the Earth" Dance Choreography Competition in Taiwan. Yi-Wei has been a member of Dance Forum Taipei since 2010, company credits include Moon River, Long Take(2010) and Perfect Circle, Eastern Tale；Love till the End of the world(2012). In 2012, Yi-Wei was on behalf of DFT as a resident dancer worked with LeineRoebana Dance Company in the Hague and performed work Snow in June in Amsterdam’s Cello Biennial. In 2013, she performed NOs and The Unreality of Time, also toured with DFT to China and Korea.

We stopped over in Sendai on the way from Sapporo to Tokyo on the shinkansen, to break up the trip. Sendai's a large city in Tohoku, only 1.5 hours from Tokyo on the bullet train. We were staying in Matsushima, but it's a sleepy town and everything was shut when we arrived, so we headed back to Sendai (only 30 mins on the local train). First we had ramen at T's TanTan, a vegan ramen restaurant (the same as the ones in Tokyo Station and Ueno). I had my favourite golden sesame ramen, and Phil gives us his meat-eater's review of the vegan tonkotsu ramen. Then we have fun in the arcades (game centres), trying to win kawaii plushies from UFO catchers. Finally, there are a few wins!

Matsushima is one of the top 3 3 scenic views in Japan, with over 260 tiny islands. Take a look around Matsushima with me, and a boat trip around the bay.

Matsushima is a small seaside town in Japan, only half an hour on the train from Sendai. Sendai is about 1 hour 45 minutes from Tokyo on the shinkansen (bullet train), so it's quite easy to get to. It's known for seafood, and there are beautiful Japanese temples and shrines. In Matsushima bay there are hundreds of tiny islands. It's really picturesque! We took a cruise around the bay, and then went across the bridge to Godaido Temple. Next time we'll be exploring Fukuurijima Island and Entsuin Temple.
