Hooray, it's the weekend! ❤ And Papa is coming home today!
You know, the kids are so used to the notion of their Daddy not being around that they don't whine about his absence and they don't say things like they miss him too.
However, there's no doubt that they love him very much and look forward to his return. Last night, we were doing grocery shopping and decided to get the hubby a few boxes of his favourite coffee capsules to surprise him. The girls wrote notes that said "Welcome home, Daddy. We love you..." and stuck them onto the boxes. Awww.
Also, the kids have all been sleeping with me for the past week, which is really exhausting yet absolutely sweet too. During bedtime last night, the big girl ( who sleeps on a mattress on her own while the younger ones sleep on my bed) said "I'm leaving some space beside me so that when Papa comes back, he can sleep here".
Yup, she was worried that he wouldn't have space to sleep since they took over the room and as we were not sure of what time he would return, she was afraid that it might be during the wee hours. That totally touched me and I know, even if they don't say it, they do miss him in their own ways.
Anyway, it's a beautiful Saturday afternoon and we are still awaiting with excitement. I've a few surprises waiting at home for the hubby too and can't wait for the sound of the door opening. Have a good day too, everybody!
