Can you find a grand cru out of 6 premier cru + 1 village? Yes I can! Luck or not I did it confidently anyways.🥸🥳😎

Today is one of those my favorite day that we all gather together to do blind tasting, and the most favorite one & good value one will be chosen to imported by our company.

So in general before the tasting, I don’t like to search what are the producers and what style of the wine we should be expecting as I don want to have any pre-assumption by the marketing or by how big is the producer. I don’t even focus on the color of the wine, cuz all I want to focus on is the notes on the nose and the palate.

And WOW. Here comes my grand cru wine...PURE pure yet CONCENTRATE juice on your palate…linger for so long that I was pretty confident this must be it and it will show more after few more years...

Hey, I’m not saying you can not drink right now as the layer between red & black fruit and vanilla is all gently showing… but I would wait.

While you are waiting, get yourself glass of his 1er cru “Les Sorbets”. I do think 30min breath from the bottle will show the best out of the black, ripe, dark fruit layer with subtle spice.

And I want to make a point that I LOVE THE JUICE ON MY PALATE! His style is concentrate yet pure, you feel the little touch of sth make your palate feel so light and gentle.

通常公司內部的盲飲，我是不喜歡先前做功課的，因為不想要要預設立場，我甚至不會專注在葡萄酒的顏色，只會認真的“吸取”葡萄的味道，和”咀嚼“葡萄汁～

今天想跟大家介紹的這位釀酒師，Domaine Olivier Guyot, 坦白講我也對他不熟悉，但是OMG，超級喜歡他的style，你可以感受到葡萄汁的集中（中文變得好爛不知道怎麼說），以及那種空靈的啜飲感～

他的特級園 18 “Clos de la Roche”絕對是可以再放個5年以上，也可能才會達到最好的品飲時間，現在喝不是說不可以，只是會有點浪費～所以在等待的同時，推薦大家可以喝他的一級葡萄園 18 “Les Sorbets” 這款酒是比較陽剛款的，果香味很濃厚，但是口感很清爽～建議打開瓶子讓酒呼吸個15-30分鐘再喝～～

I taught my 4 year old daughter Maeleth about God’s appointed time today. She asked me why she has been praying for Jesus to give her some toys that she likes but it hasn’t happened yet?

I gave her this analogy: “Imagine that you are blindfolded and in a rollercoaster. Right in front of you is the steep drop. You feel thirsty and want to drink your water, so you keep calling out to ask for water from your daddy beside you. But your daddy is not blindfolded. He can see the drop coming. He says wait and he will give it to you. The drop happens, and at the flat part of the ride, he hands you the water. What do you think will happen if he had passed you the water right before the drop?”

Mae replied, “The water will spill.”

“Yes, so we must trust that Jesus knows when to give us what we are praying for, because we cannot see the future. We don’t know what will happen even later today. God’s timing is usually different from man’s timing. We may want something now, but it may not be the best timing for us to get it right now. God knows everything and He knows when is best to give us what we want.”

If a 4 year old can understand this lesson, so can you. Just that many believers don’t know it yet, and that’s a big reason for their disappointments and frustrations. They insist on man’s timing, not God’s timing. When it is God’s appointed time, He will do it quickly for you, so keep your hope alive and keep confessing His faithfulness. Your God is so good!

I had an amazing trip to Bangkok with two new friends, An (@flxxsh) and Toan (@tx68xt), and one of my besties Vanessa (@redadmiral). I did research in advance and found most of the places on Instagram. Below I will list the places we went to and how I found them:

DAY 1:
Artbox at the EM District (Instagram: @artbox_th)
Oyster Bay at Artbox (Instagram: @oysterbaybangkok) (MUST EAT!)
Ramen burger & Pad Thai were next to and opposite Oyster Bay (but not as recommended)
Seafood at Artbox (it was good but now wooooow but still good, forgot the name of the place)
Sundae Kids at Artbox (I had the Doughnut let me go, super sweet)
Takoyaki at Artbox (quite good)
Grilled mussels with tomatoe sauce at Artbox (not a must-eat)

DAY 2:
The Jam Factory (A nice concept store with interior, books and cafe. Instagram @thejamfactorybangkok)
The Never Ending Summer (Classic Thai food in an lofty and modern environment. Behind The Jam Factory. Not the cheapest Thai food you will get, but the pork was amazing!!) Instagram @theneverendingsummer)
MY FAVOURITE: Vanilla Cafeteria at EM Quartier (OHMYGOD YOU HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE! Order the scallop noodles with fish roe and any of the fries. Food and drinks here are amazing !)

DAY 3:
Chatuchak weekend market (definitely worth a visit even though I didn't feel like I had to go twice)
Food at Chatuchak is super spicy. Be aware haha.
White Flower Factory at Siam One (Located inside a cool mall and directly at Siam, it has a cool location but the food didn't hit me as hard as Vanilla Cafeteria. Western and Thai food. Go for the recommendations!)

DAY 4:
Before we took our flight back we just had to check out Vanilla Bakery and Vanilla Cafe ! We loved Vanilla Concept and even though bakery and cafe are a bit in the middle of nowhere, it's still worth a visit. Food at Vanilla Cafe was alright (not too amazing), and we didn't get to try the sweets at Vanilla Bakery because we were running out of time. Anyway, don't order the apple, maple syrup drink, that was weird haha.

Anyway, I love Bangkok, I feel like aesthetically I totally fit into this city. It's modern, chic and fancy yet not luxury in a cheesy way. I totally love Bangkok, except for the traffic and masses of people. Everyone should travel to Bangkok and check it out !
