1. Yamas - Self restraint.
Non Violence (Ahimsa) , Honest, Non stealing, Moderation and Non Attachment
2. Niyamas - Coming to terms with yourself.
Cleanness, Contentment, Self Discipline, Self study, Have Faith
3. Asana - Posture and Movement (Listen to your Body)
4. Pranayama - Breathing techniques (Breath or Life Force)
5. Pratyahara - Detachment, be aware of the breath and mind activity (Senses/Thoughts/Emotions)
6. Dharana - Steadying the mind (Concentration)
7. Dhyana - Contemplation (Meditation)
8. Samadhi - Secret Garden 🪴

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, or sleep yoga is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping induced by a powerful guided meditation.

The stages of body scan and breath awareness alone is a practice to calm the nervous system, a nourishing way to reset, leading to less stress (ie. help to release tension) and promote better health and wellness, while developing greater self awareness.

With Yoga Nidra guided meditation, and your own direct experience, you could relate to the above 8 limbs.

【童年抵達者暫緩驅逐辦法】#換日線國際字典
▍什麼是童年抵達者暫緩驅逐辦法?
童年抵達者暫緩驅逐辦法,原文 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals(以下簡稱 DACA),也譯作「追夢人計畫」。
這是美國前總統歐巴馬 2012 年訂定的行政命令。這個法令讓年幼時(16 歲以下)和父母一同非法移民到美國的人,能有兩年免於被驅逐出境的保障。
據去年的報導指出,這個法令保障了大約 65 萬名在童年時期被父母非法帶進美國的移民,不需要被驅逐出境,或是進一步給予合法身分,讓他們成為美國人。
法令每兩年可延期一次,而在這個法律保護之下,他們能獲得工作許可、擁有接受高等教育的機會。
▍支持 vs. 反對
此議題至今仍引起激烈的辯論,支持方認為,美國是多元文化與人才的溫床,其發展構築在來自世界各地的移民,若廢除恐造成工作崗位的空缺及經濟損失。
反對方則認為外來者會瓜分美國當地人民的工作機會等資源,此法令也嚴重壓迫州政府處理非法移民的經濟預算。
▍從廢除到恢復
川普上任後就致力於廢止 DACA,他也在 2017 年終止了該行政命令,不再接受新的申請。
此舉在美國引發政界、法律界的不小爭議,美國 15 個州和華盛頓特區隨即向聯邦法院提交訴狀,控告川普違憲。
同時間,除歐巴馬外,亞馬遜執行長貝佐斯,臉書執行長佐克伯等名人也聯名簽署反對廢除 DACA 的公開信,也有許多民眾上街抗議,表達對 DACA 的支持。
2020 年 6 月,美國最高法院裁定川普的違反行政程序,對此川普表示,還會繼續重提計畫,直到廢除 DACA 為止。
2020 年 12 月,在法官與眾多民眾的支持下,最高法院宣布 DACA 恢復效用。

Downdog - 3 legged downdog - wild thing - bridge - reclining hero - child’s pose .... repeat both sides! If you do not feel comfortable going into a bridge flow then stop at wild thing, come back to downdog - all 4s - child’s pose. There is no wrong or right, it all depends on how your body feels today(that day). Please practise with ahimsa during your home practise. ?. Finding the balance in everything we do. Last week I learnt to embrace the 5 yamas; ahimsa, satya, asteya, brahmacharya, aparigraha.
What it also taught me was to step out of my comfort zone, that you’re not bound by the four corners of your mat, if you don’t have a mat (when traveling for work or just don’t have a mat-in general) you can still do yoga ?♀️ .
