懷孕是一件幸福的事,亦是一件很炎熱的事!尤其懷孕後期正值炎夏的孕媽媽們,因為孕婦體溫比正常人要高;但孕婦不宜多喝生冷飲品,否則有損脾胃又聚濕,凍飲的冰塊有可能含有致命的李斯特菌,難道為了寶寶健康就只有忍?讓中醫師教你一些孕婦消暑小貼士!
生活篇:
- 可涼冷氣但不宜直吹,並且要注意室內外溫差,室內冷氣溫度不宜調得太低,否則一熱一冷容易生病
- 游泳降溫,泳後要立即弄乾身體及頭髮
- 選擇鬆身、透氣及吸汗力強的衣物,必要時多帶衣物更換
- 戴有大帽沿的太陽帽或傘子
- 帶備保濕噴霧
- 帶備小風扇,但要注意避免固定吹向一個部位
飲食篇:
- 補充適量水份,加片檸檬或薄荷葉可以令人更醒神
- 消暑的水果例如椰青、西瓜、蓮霧、蜜瓜、士多啤梨等可按身體狀況適量食用,記得從雪櫃取出後放置室溫一會才享用;如出現腹瀉或眩暈情況,就代表食材對孕媽媽來說太寒涼了,不宜食用
- 適量食用苦味食物,因其多有清心涼血、健脾利尿以及緩解暑熱的功效,例如苦瓜、生菜、萵筍、芫茜、薄荷葉等
- 每天飲一杯米水,有助強健脾胃,驅走濕氣,紓緩太熱無胃口的症狀
- 避免進食屬性溫熱的食物,例如蔥、薑、蒜、辣椒等香辛料
- 濕熱孕媽媽們更不宜進補

Tips to clear summer heat for expecting mothers
Being pregnant is one of the best experiences in the world, but at the same time, it also causes pregnant moms to feel warm all the time! Especially during summer, pregnant moms’ body temperature tend to be higher than that of the ordinary people.
Yet, pregnant moms should avoid drinking raw and cold beverages as they could hurt the spleen and stomach and accumulate dampness in the body. They might even risk getting the deadly listeria infection from ice cubes in the drink.
Does that mean pregnant moms can only suffer in silence for the sake of their babies?
Here are some tips by Chinese physicians to help you relieve the summer-heat!
Lifestyle:
- can enjoy the air-conditioner but avoid direct cool air; watch out for indoor and outdoor temperature difference and make sure it is not overly extreme because a sudden change in temperature can cause you to fall ill
- swimming can help you cool down but make sure you keep your body dry and blow dry your hair afterwards
- choose clothes that are loose, airy, and sweat-absorbent; bring extra pairs of clothes along with you when necessary
- put on a large hat or carry an umbrella
- carry a moisturizing spray with you all the time
- carry a small fan but avoid blowing directly in one direction
Food:
- drink enough water to hydrate the body; add lemon slices and mints to freshen our mind
- eat fruits that can clear the summer-heat according to our body constitution, for instance, coconut, watermelon, wax apple, honeydew, and strawberry; remember to eat it at room temperature after you have taken them out of the refrigerator; if you experience diarrhea or dizziness, the fruits might be too cold for the pregnant moms
- consume food that are bitter in taste as they can clear heat and cool the blood, strengthen the spleen and promote urination, and relieve the summer-heat; these ingredients include bitter gourd, lettuce, coriander, and mint
- drink a cup of rice water daily as it can help to strengthen the spleen and stomach, eliminate dampness from the body, and improve your appetite during the warm summer season
- avoid eating ingredients that are warm in nature, for instance, onion, ginger, garlic, and chili
- pregnant moms with the damp heat body constitution should avoid eating foods that are over-nourishing

一到夏天,大家都想玩各式各樣的戶外活動,想玩得盡情的話,事前準備工夫不可少,因為夏天天氣炎熱,一不小心容易中暑。細心計劃行程,準備足夠物資,都有助預防中暑發生。
1. 慎選活動時間
如要進行戶外活動,最好安排在早上或下午較後時間進行,避開中午陽光最猛烈的時間,減少曝曬的機會。
2. 防曬裝備不可少
穿著淺色通爽的衣物,使用闊邊帽、太陽眼鏡、雨傘等防曬配件,帶備小風扇、冰毛巾等有助散熱的用品,皮膚也要塗抹合適的防曬霜。
3. 準備足夠消暑飲料
帶備足夠的水或消暑飲料,如西瓜皮冬瓜皮綠豆水、椰青等,但要避免飲用茶、咖啡、酒精飲品等加速身體排水的飲品。不要等到口渴才飲水,宜每隔20分鐘,小口小口緩緩地喝,補充約100-200毫升水份。
4. 室內活動要空氣流通
別以為中暑只會在戶外環境出現,如果室內環境潮濕悶熱,也會導致中暑發生,所以室內宜開窗或冷氣令環境保持通爽涼快。亦不應留在停泊的汽車內,因為封閉的車子裡空氣流動有限,溫度會不斷上升。
5. 量力而為
如果感到身體不適,或者睡眠不足、身體虛弱情況下,都不宜進行劇烈的戶外活動,因為這些狀況都會影響身體機能,降低出汗率,增加中暑的可能。

Five tips to prevent heat strokes
All sorts of outdoor activities seem to be on our mind when summer arrives. In order for us to enjoy them to the fullest, we need to be well prepared to combat the heat. Careful planning and preparation in advance can help prevent heat strokes.
1. Choose the appropriate time for activities
Arrange your outdoor activities in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the extreme sun exposure during mid-day hours.
2. Amp up protection against the sun
Wear light colored clothes that allow better airflow; put on a broad brim hat and a pair of sunglasses, and carry an umbrella. Bring along items like a handheld fan and an iced towel to help dissipate heat. Apply an appropriate amount of sunscreen for skin protection.
3. Prepare sufficient beverages
Bring enough water or heat relieving drinks, but avoid drinking tea, coffee and alcoholic beverages as they are diuretic. Start drinking before you feel extremely thirsty, and do that in small sips every 20 minutes to rehydrate the body with about 100-200 ml of liquid.
4. Ensure good air ventilation for indoor activities
Heat strokes do not just happen in the outdoor, but also within an enclosed warm and humid environment. Hence, always make sure there is a good airflow indoor by opening the windows or turning on the air-conditioner. Avoid staying in a parked car, as the space within has limited air ventilation, which will cause the temperature to rise.
5. Stop the activities when necessary
If you feel unwell, or experience insomnia or fatigue, avoid taking part in strenuous outdoor activities, as the symptoms mentioned above will affect the mechanism of the body and reduce your ability to sweat properly, hence causing you to be more prone to develop heat stroke.

我目前的所有都是自己花時間練來的,
我也不是小時候就開始運動,真正愛上運動都是工作後2-3年左右的事了。

所以我的協調性差,通常別人練10分鐘,我必須多花3倍力氣練習、感受。

但也更能體會過程中大家的煎熬跟辛苦,
所以請相信自己。

這一切都是過程,因爲這些過程所以我們得來的美更加鮮甜。
