At first, I started with the #yogastrap on this #anjaneyasana, not expecting to be able to reach the bar on Round One. And I kept walking my hands closer to the bar and lifting my chest up, before I knew it, I touched the bar and found steadiness there - which really surprised me ;)

This goes to show that sometimes an #asana “will come” when you least expect it. And I’m not wishing that I would able to do it again. Every day is a new practice.

Just a note on techniques here: instead of pulling your hands towards the bar, work on pushing the bar away from you so it creates a lift in the chest and alleviate any pressure in the lower back. It’s not easy when you’re actually pulling the strap in the beginning. However once the hands are on the bar, everything will start to make sense.
